Here at Church of Christ the King we run a year long volunteering course called Impact. This offers an all round training package that equips people to think, act and live biblically, providing a unique mixture of theological teaching, skills training, church-based project work and personal discipleship.
Christians need to be well equipped to serve God effectively and build His church. Long running and ever popular, Impact is an essential starting point for those who want to devote time to serve God in this way to discover their gifts, grow in character and be trained theologically.
At Church of Christ the King you will have the opportunity to be a part of a large, dynamic church based in a famed secular city. Serving alongside renowned and respected leaders, your understanding of missional church in action will be irrevocably shaped. You will undoubtedly witness many salvations and will be led and taught in worship by world-class musicians.
Like hundreds of people before you, come and get trained up and sent out. We only take people for a full year programme (11months: September to August). This is an adult position with adult responsibilities. We are therefore happy to take those who have just turned 18 years, but ideally require that they have life experience of having lived away from home prior to joining the project.
For a more personal look at the Impact year, visit our website. If you are interested in doing Impact starting in September 2013, please fill in the application form located on at the bottom of the King's Church Website Impact page and either email it or send it to Church of Christ the King, address below. We will then organise an initial interview to discuss your hopes for the year and suitability for your proposed specialised field. You will then be asked to submit an Elder’s reference (obtained after interview) and will receive a letter confirming your position.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the church office on 01273 747687.
If posting your application, please submit FAO Impact Administrator, Church of Christ the King, 21– 23 Clarendon Villas, Hove, BN3 3RE
