Community Involvement

Tearfund Partner
We provided the venue free for 700+ attendees hosting a 'Concert for Haiti' in April 2010
Strengthening Families
We provide marriage preparation and support classes plus parenting training along with numerous youth groups
Creatives Network
This acts as a meeting point for people involved in creative activities in the city
Business & Enterprise
We run a thriving Business and Enterprise community inviting guest speakers Ken Costa and Julia Chanteray to our seminars
Martlets Partner
In April 2012 we hosted a charity concert, 'Sounds Like Brighton', and raised £5,000 for the Martlets Hospice
Brighton Marathon
The Clarendon Centre is a facility for the training of those who act as stewards on the day
Community Festivals
We’ve run and funded festivals in Carden Park, Hangleton & Poet’s Corner
Night Shelter
A joint venture between Brighton churches providing food and overnight accommodation for rough sleepers
Older People
New Horizons provides friendship and support for people in their later years
CCK Deaf
We have a thriving group of hearing-impaired people and host BSL training

Social Engagement

Friends First Drop-in
The Clarendon Centre is used as a weekly drop-in for street homeless people to receive a cooked meal, warm clothing and support
Social Enterprise
Social Enterprise exists to raise money in support of Social Engagement
Friends First Outreach
Preparation and ongoing care for those moving on from the residential housing whilst meeting the needs of those in crisis
Growing Together
Six acre market garden social enterprise, offering work, training and support to homeless and long-term unemployed men and women
Alternatives Pregnancy Counselling
Supporting those who face an unplanned pregnancy and those who have experienced a pregnancy loss
Friends First House and Farm
Residential support housing for 24 single homeless people with a wide-ranging life-skills programme
Brighton Marathon
CCK have partnered with the Brighton Marathon since the launch and have had the most number of volunteers from any organization
Recent Gift Day
We are consistently raising large sums of money to help serve our City
10:10
We signed up to Brighton & Hove's mission to cut 10% of our emissions in one year
BIMM
We regularly invite BIMM students to perform in front of large audiences
The Great Escape
Europe's biggest new music festival; 300 bands in 30 venues across 3 days, run by volunteers. Members from our music team help run this festival

International Involvement

Kenya Famine
People from CCK gave £50,000 in an offering to help and feed famine victims
Zimbabwe Support
Church members gave £12,000 to help support Christians in different parts of Zimbabwe
Supporting other Churches
Regular gifts to Newfrontiers help support the poor and ministries around the world
