Small Groups and Zones.

At CCK we have dozens of 'small groups' which are divided into a number of geographical Zones. These settings enable us to enjoy the benefits of small-church life within a large church.

Living in a city like Brighton & Hove you can find yourself surrounded by people in every context of life, yet can sometimes feel isolated and distant from meaningful friendships.

At CCK, living in genuine community is very important to us, and it’s actually God’s design for the believer to be plugged into a vibrant counter-culture, full of meaning and purpose.

In a large church setting like CCK, it’s important that the fabric of the community is well-structured. Overseen by gifted men and women, we have a structure which fits our culture, that is varied and caters for every walk of life.

Whether you’re young, a professional, a student, a mother, married, single or retired, there is a context where you can feel you belong.

What does this community look like?

Our city is divided into ‘Zones’ which comprise a number of Small Groups in a given geographical area.

These Small Groups mostly meet midweek and include around a dozen people who build genuine friendships and learn to do life well together, all the time growing in their knowledge and experience of Christ.

Once a month, all the Small Groups in each Zone get together for a larger gathering called a Zone Meeting – again, learning to build community together to engage with God and their localities. It’s also an opportunity to worship together in a setting where many people can participate.

Sundays is our time for all of us to be together for one corporate church experience; our front door to the City!

We have a series of blog articles here explaining in more detail why we have Zones at CCK.
