Tal and Jo Fahy oversee the parenting team at Church of Christ the King where there are various courses available for different stages of life which are open to anyone; church members and parents who have never set foot in church, single parents, young and old parents alike.
The course presents material from 'Family Time' - a short parenting course based on the book by Mark and Lindsay Melluish, in a down to earth way, drawing on the team’s own experiences and their desire to see families grow and develop on strong, loving foundations.
We’ve got 4 kids and although our church and family are very supportive, parenting can be quite a lonely business. Attending a course really helped us as we started out raising our family, and we just wanted to give other parents a chance to get together – it's not only for people who feel they’re struggling, but for anyone looking for advice and friendship. - Tal Fahy
