Supported House

CCK provides staff and financial help for the Friends First Supported House in Hove. This is also partly funded through Local Government support, grant-making trusts and the Friends First Partners' scheme.

The social aspect of the Friends First Supported House means so much more than just a meal or a bed for the night
The Manager is Rob Liddiard, who says 'Our goal is to provide resources designed to help men and women who have experienced a range of life problems - including homelessness, family breakdown, addiction and emotional issues - to be equipped to achieve sustained independence within a caring community.

'In 2002 we opened the house in Wilbury Road, with 12 beds. The accommodation includes a training workshop for skill development, providing supported housing with a full-time life skills programme. The house is staffed by Christians.'
