What is the Alpha course?
The Alpha course will help you explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, friendly environment over eight, thought-provoking weekly sessions.
What’s involved?
Each week, the evening begins with a meal prepared by our professional chef, where you can relax after your day, and get to know the other people on the course. Many make lasting friendships over an Alpha meal.
After the food, there may be some live music, followed by a short, dynamic, illustrated presentation on topics such as Is there more to life than this? and The Claims of Jesus. After this, we divide into small groups, taking the opportunity for a friendly but lively discussion. This is your chance to ask questions, to explore, and to give consideration to the topic for the evening. There is no question too simple or too challenging at the Alpha course.

What's in a name?
In the New Testament, in Revelation 1:9, God refers to himself as 'The Alpha and the Omega, the first and last,' mentioning the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. This course is a place for initial enquiry, and it directs people towards God. Hence the name Alpha.
At CCK we also provide a Beta Course, which follows on from Alpha; it's for those who are keen to find out more about church life. Click here for details.
