"...seeking to reach our community with a message of love, forgiveness, wholeness... "

About Us

Church of Christ the King is an evangelical charismatic church of almost 1000 members, based in the centre of Brighton on the East Sussex coast.

We are part of the Newfrontiers family of churches, and have a strong emphasis on worship, Bible teaching, fellowship, evangelism, social action and family life.

We meet on Sundays at 10am and 6.30pm for lively worship and solid Bible teaching – and we warmly invite you to visit us!

We gather each Sunday to worship the Lord and to learn from his Word, and in midweek groups for fellowship and prayer

Visitors to this site may be looking for a great home group to attend or to see what we believe; to discover more about our leaders or to explore aspects of the impact we seek to have on the community around us.

Whatever your reason for dropping in on us, please feel free to look around and explore. But remember, the best way to get to know us is to meet us!

It's all about relationship; so come to one of our meetings, and get yourself a coffee in the Welcome Lounge. We believe you'll find we're friendly, approachable, reasonable, genuine and committed to the Lord Jesus.

About Brighton...

An historic, lively city packed with sights, sounds and indeed aromas. From the Royal Pavilion to the cobbled Lanes; Brighton Pier to the leafy avenues of Hove (actually); and from the nightclubs to the Marina, the city of Brighton & Hove has loads to offer the tourist and resident alike. It's a place with a seriously tarnished reputation, yet here God has planted a number of thriving churches, including ourselves.

We
love the dynamic and the challenge of serving Christ and preaching the gospel in the context of this diverse and growing city... We know we have a message of hope and life and purpose.

• It was on the beach at Brighton in 1865 that Hudson Taylor received his call to China which has ultimately resulted in the vibrant church we see in China to this day.

• While a number of church buildings have been converted to commercial or residential property, there has been a trend recently which has seen a number of commercial properties converted into church buildings!
