Food & Friendship for homeless people

'Having nowhere to live makes you feel discarded, lost, alone, angry - and usually cold!'

CCK has established the Friends First Drop-In for just such people, who may be living on the streets due to difficult circumstances, addiction, family breakdown or simply because they have chosen that lifestyle.

'It's the loneliness that does your head in...'
We seek to provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a hearty meal, warm clothing and shoes and an encouraging offer of friendship to any disadvantaged person who comes to the weekly meal at Clarendon Centre. Other churches are providing a similar service other evenings, and we are delighted to be co-operating with them in a city where the homelessness issue is a growing one.

More than a meal

In addition to the Friends First Drop-In, CCK has established a Supported Housing Unit in Hove for those in transition between homelessness and independent living. more
